Obama Becomes First Black US President

Barack Obama was elected the first black president of the United States. I believe it was a historic triumph, which overcame racial barriers. He is the son of a black father from Kenya and a white mother from Kansas, raised by his grandmother who died the day before the Election Day. All Americans, not only white but black people chose this young, gentle, and smart guy as the US President. They want to change the politics in the United States. He gave hopes to millions of people, especially to the minorities. Now, many mothers and fathers would see their children can dream of being anything as he did. I hope so, too.

COMING TO AMERICA

I am in Bloomfield, NJ.
Why am I here in Bloomfield?
I want to learn more English and experience the culture of the USA. It was hard to set up and adjust to my life style. Most of our members stay at UC in Newark. A shuttle bus from UC to college runs every hour on the half hour in the morning, and from college to UC runs every hour on the hour in the afternoon. One of the most difficult things is that going grocery shopping to a Korean market. We are running out of kimchi now, so I have to go grocery shopping soon.
